When you need to ship oversized, out-of-gauge and/or heavy lift cargo, count on LavinStar. As a project cargo shipping company, we help customers transport items such as cars, heavy machinery, oilfield equipment and excavators that cannot be transported via closed container, but that require a flat or open top container, or shipping via a break bulk vessel. Let our knowledgeable, experienced professionals develop the most cost-effective, reliable shipping solution for even your most challenging cargo.

Our project cargo services include:

- **Specialized crating** such as heat-shrink wrapping, boxing and skidding
- **Vehicle transport** for cars, trucks, buses, tractors, heavy equipment and oversized wheeled cargo via our ro-ro (or roll-on roll-off) service
- **Flat rack and open top containers **for out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo
- **Break bulk shipping** for large, heavy goods that don’t fit into containers and must loaded and transported individually on a skid or pallet
- **Rigging and crane service** to safely raise and lower oversized cargo
- **Vessel charters** for extremely large or heavy freight
- **Heavy-haul trucking **via a large network of less-than-truckload (LTL) and full-truckload (FTL) carriers
- **Rail transportation**
- **Surveying, **including route-specific
- **Customs clearance **and permit applications
